OVERVIEW
As a freelance project, I designed an eighty page educational book, written by Mary Nilles, entitled 'REUNION: A Portrait and Biographical Guide to the Photo Collection of the Winona County, Minnesota Old Settler's Association.'

PROCESS
When Mary came to me to help her create a book for her collection of historic images of the Winona County people and their stories, her only request was that due to funding, the book should be eighty pages or less. This seemed like a simple and easy request until I realized the enormous amount of rich information that she had researched and wanted to include in the book. With what she gave me, the book I designed could easily be over 150 pages. Thus my challenge was twofold. First to help Mary edit her work to contain only the most important information and second, to develop a consistent layout that would allow for the greatest amount of information while maintaining a consistent design language.
